Long ago, in the fae realm a fairy princess was born to the summer court named Jubilee. Born from a peach tree blossom in the gardens of the seeile court, she was bright and full of life. Never wanting to sit still for long, she fluttered about the lands, always seeking a new adventure or to make new friends. Bringing with her baked goods she made within the palace, she hoped that these sweet treats would bring a smile to those around her. However, that happiness soon turned to tragedy.War broke out in the fae realm. Confined to the palace, Jubilee grew more and more anxious for her friends. Days turned to months and Jubilee, unable to sit still any longer, decided to set out, determined to make sure that her friends were safe. While trying to be discreet during her outing, she had failed to see those who lurked in the shadows. It is unknown exactly what transpired but one thing was certain. Jubilee’s light had been extinguished.Despite her light being snuffed out, Jubilee, like most fairies, would simply be reborn. No prior knowledge of their past selves would exist but they were never truly gone. That is how Jubilee came to be the very fairy you know today.“I wish for a friend.”This wish was made by a pure hearted child upon a peach seed. Planting the seed, it grew overnight into a magical peach tree. The stunned child plucked the only peach on the tree and, in a blinding light, the peach disappeared and instead what was in their hands was a small fairy.“Hello, nice to meet you!”She smiled at them. Despite having no knowledge of her previous life, what she was remained at the forefront of her mind along with a name.“My name’s Jubilee, are you the one who made a wish for a friend?”The child gave a hesitant nod but that sealed the start of their lifelong friendship. The two of them would go on adventures, bake sweet treats together, and do basically anything and everything together. As the years began to flow by, their friend eventually found others to rely on and even started a family of their own. Time can be cruel and while Jubilee hadn’t aged a day, her friend was now much older. She still spent what time she could with them, baking treats for them to brighten their days, but eventually, those times came to a close and Jubilee was left alone.Shortly after their passing, Jubilee attempted to make friends with some of the villagers. This action led her to quickly discover that most humans didn’t trust fairies or if they did, they wanted to use her for malicious purposes. So, for the next hundred years she kept to her peach tree, passing the days by smelling flowers or baking treats for the birds and bugs. That was, until she spotted another fairy for the first time.They had flown into the nearby forest and Jubilee, excited, followed them to the riverbank. It was here that Jubilee met Sylla and the two quickly became friends. Sylla, after hearing Jubilee’s story, escorted her to the fae realm where Jubilee met with the king and queen of the Seelie Court. Granted the right to stay in the realm she was given the stipulation that she must make her home away from other fae. The reason for this is because she was born in the human realm, the barrier between the two would be more unstable and to prevent issue, she should be away from others.While the news did upset her, she fully agreed and understood what she had to give up to live here. So, with the help of some powerful magic her peach tree vanished from the human realm and instead resided in a peach grove in the fae realm, far from others. This didn't stop the fairy from making friends though and eventually, even opening a cafe within her peach tree for others to rest, relax, and enjoy a sweet treat.
